what gives us the right to have three complete meals everyday on our tables when others are malnutritioned?
is our life more valuable than theirs?
they are barely lucky enough to get one full meal.
i grew up in a large family and we eat a lot, but i have come to realize that some people eat to live and others live to eat.
For the past few months i have trained myself to eat to live, see it as a means to an end, eat what is necessary to give myself sufficient energy to go about my daily life.
some of these children work all day in the fields, they have no luxury of education or “lounging around.”
fn(work) = food.
i feel helpless when i look at pictures around the world. you’d think that with today’s technology, no one would have to starve. is this another form of population control?
for the past month i have been trying to find my motivation and i believe that there is no stronger motivation then live for those who cannot or unable to.
i’m going to have an early resoluations: to make everyday a productive day, or at least mondays-fridays. although i will not work for them directly, I will not waste the time that they do not have. it would be shameful to do so.
for starters, I will wake up earlier, because whatever my early is, they will always have it earlier. i will not linger any longer on my applications. i will be more diligent as a way to show my thanks to my fortunate situation.
